The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) Foundation is pleased to offer grant opportunities to support the sonography community. The SDMS Foundation is always interested in hearing about possible new exciting and innovating charitable programs. Annual Conference Grant

Educational Grants

The SDMS Educational Grant Program provides financial assistance to sonographers and students who attend the SDMS Annual Conference. Grants may be used for any expense incurred by the applicant related to participating in the SDMS Annual Conference.

 
Certification Exam Grant

Certification Examination Grants 

The SDMS Foundation Sonography Certification Examination Grant Program provides grants to deserving sonography students and sonographers who successfully complete/pass a sonography certification examination after being approved for a grant.

 
Clinical Instructor Grant icon

Clinical Instructor Grants 

The SDMS Foundation ​Clinical Instructor Grant Program recognizes outstanding volunteer clinical instructors and promotes awareness of the need for clinical instructors.

 
Hardship Grant

Hardship Grants 

The SDMS Foundation Hardship Grant Program provides grants to support sonographers who are temporarily disabled or unemployed and are experiencing financial hardship which prevents them from renewing their SDMS membership and earning the CME credits required to uphold their credential.

 
Research Grant

Research Grants 

The SDMS Foundation Research Grant and Evans Undergraduate Research Grant Programs provide support for innovative research projects which advance the field of diagnostic medical sonography. Applicants are required to present a unique or immediate relevance to the profession and the SDMS Foundation, to undergo education and mentorship throughout their research, and to submit their findings to the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JDMS) for publication.
