Pre-Conference Tutorials
New this year, sign up to attend a morning tutorial session and an afternoon tutorial session. The Educators Tutorial and Student Conclave will be offered in the morning and afternoon, Cardiac and OB/GYN tutorials will be offered in the morning and Vascular and Abdominal Tutorials will be offered in the afternoon. This allows you to attend a variety of sessions with a greater variety of topics. You must select an AM and PM session. Half day sessions are not available.
Students
Students who are registered for the 3-day SDMS Annual Conference can attend the Student Conclave (or any tutorial) for FREE! Students can choose to attend the morning or afternoon sessions of the Student Conclave and then spend the other part of their day in a specialty tutorial.
SDMS Foundation Grants
SDMS Foundation Grants are available beginning June 1, 2010. A limited number of financial assistance grants have been made available by the SDMS Foundation this year. To receive further information and an application, visit the SDMS Foundation website at www.sdmsfoundation.org.
Intended Audience
The SDMS Annual Conference is primarily designed for sonographers, students and physicians who use sonography in their practice. The educational program helps to update their knowledge and skills in new sonographic techniques, diagnostic accuracy, enhancements of sonographic instrumentation, and practice management strategies.
Learning Objectives
After participating in the Annual Conference, participants should be able to:
- Describe new sonographic techniques and technological improvements to enhance visualization of pathology.
- Recognize normal and abnormal pathology based on sonographic examination.
- Outline practice management strategies to enhance sonographic clinical operations and enhance overall patient satisfaction.
