2016 SDMS & SDMS Foundation Annual Reports

The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) is pleased to announce that the 2016 SDMS and SDMS Foundation Annual Reports are now available. The reports detail the 2016 accomplishments of the organizations and outline the goals for 2017. 

Highlights of the 2016 SDMS Annual Report include:

  • As of December 31, 2016, the SDMS had 30,198 members in 40 countries around the world.
  • The SDMS awarded over 6017,000 SDMS CME credits in 2016.
  • In 2017, the SDMS will increase SDMS CME credit and professional development opportunities, explore new ways for the SDMS members to network, communicate, and share their knowledge with their fellow members and examine the feasibility of licensure legislation for states where it does not exist.

    Highlights of the 2016 SDMS Foundation Annual Report include:
     
  • In 2016, the SDMS Foundation distributed $55,000 through programs that benefited the sonography community and the patients they served. 
  • As of December 31, 2016, the SDMS Foundation has raised over $228,000 for the SDMS Foundation Three-Year Fundraising Campaign that was launched in October 2015.
  • In 2017, the SDMS Foundation will distribute over $75,000 through grants, scholarships, and international assistance.
