Bylaws of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS)
On April 16, 2005, the Board of Directors adopted revisions to the bylaws of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. While the bylaws became effective immediately, some of the changes will be implemented during the next 6 months. Board members affected by the changes will complete their current term of office. For example, the Commercial Representative position on the Board was eliminated but this individual will serve through October 2005.
At-Large Director positions (two-year terms) will replace Regional Directors (three-year terms) and the Nominating Committee will be expanded with 2 additional elected members - the Nominating Committee is charged with ensuring an appropriate transition for all elected positions.
